Our client wanted "something special" for his office. His profession had him on coference calls many times throughout the day, and he needed a space which would accomodate long calls in comfort. Our design for his desk and storage systems began by addressing the views outside the north facing windows. We shifted the orientation to address views of Manhattan over the tops of Williamsburg's warehouses. Working closely with our favored wood worker Mairo Notten, we were able to chose and place the rift cut, walnut veneer to interact with the shifting desk.
